'Mar Clouncil The Student Council of Lamar Union High School is a very important organi- zation in that it gives the student body the democracy it demands in its government. Its main purpose is to form and maintain an understanding bond between the faculty members and students. The membership of the Student Council includes two representatives and the president from each class, as well as the regular officers of the council. This year Ileta Faye Sterrett and Bob O'Dell served our school in the capacity of head girl and boy. Their duties were to alternately preside at council meetings, introduce assembly programs and at all times endeavor to lead and guide us. Howard Wagner and Richard Jiminez served as secretary and treasurer respectively. The sponsor of the council is Mr. Coffman. MARIAN Jo CHENAULT U

Her understanding smile, quiet ways and winning personality have made her a teacher the students of L. U. H. S. will never forget. It has been through her untiring efforts that our annuals have been so successful.
