The year was typical. Anyone could par- ticipate in some of the traditional events that continued as in past years. Sports, the marching band and other organizations could involve anybody. Somebody special could always flash that winning smile which made them the hit in many activi- ties. That somebody could be the home- coming queen, the teacher that assigned that research paper or the senior who gave everyone heck. As the year progressed, everyone became busy in classes, part- time jobs, and relaxation. Goals were set by individuals as well as groups. Sporting events, pep rallies, and activity day meet- ings were attended by everybody as in pre- vious years. Each semester brought pro- grams, concerts, and other student activi- ties. Consequently, everybody enjoyed the year that 1979 became in student life. ,V-
