Hot Fashions Burn Lamar At Lamar you find a variety of people and where there is a variety of people there is a lot of differen fashions. At Lamar the most promi nent of the fashions was that of the punk or new wave styles. Sharon Ward proudly displays her new wave look. Keith Dewitt displays his parachute pants which feel like a windbreaker to the touch, One of the end of the year fashions was twist-a- beads. Here Stephanie Pugh shows aff hers. Argyle sweaters and socks was seen more often in the winter than any other month. Teenage high fashion is represented by Lara Bible as she wears her pointed toe shoes, bobby socks and a clear, plastic purse. Fashions 7

Through the Eyes of Lamar We, the yearbook staff, would like to take this time to thank our 1983-64 photographers. They have spent a lot of hard work and many hours shooting and developing all pictures. The yearbook is a pictorial book and without them we could not make it. Whats New in Town? With the coming of a new year came the coming of a new town. A lot of new stores and new places just popped up out of nowhere it seemed like. Many old parts of town were replaced with new structures. The Wal-Mart store was the biggest attraction ofthe year and it provided monyjobs for high school students. The senior class of 1984 dipped into its funds to buy the school a beautiful new Christmas tree. 8 New Things The Richmind Professional Building added three new stories to make it one of the highest structures in TOWN In the 200 hall at school, three new water fountains replaced three old, ancient ones. s me .kb Where the drive-in theatre once stood is now occupied by a two story of- fice building. . . 2 f Md. 1 E I A new strip mall was put up on Ave. I by the stadium where you could see many students stop at before school. lll . . F Sutherlands Lumber Co. was built on Ave. H and held its grand opening an Wednesday May 23, 1984.
