GIRL'S ASKETB LL Mrs. Meyers, girl's coach, gives hurried instructions to players during time out. In past years the girl's basket- ball team of Lakin High School were unsuccessful in gaining vic- tory over their skilled opponents. During this last season their roles have changed, Lakin girls be- coming the victors. One reason may have been the change to boy's 5-man team playing, another may be their coach, Mrs. Meyers. It was a neck to neck battle but Lakin girls brush by Syracuse 32-31 to Win this 1st Place Trophy in the Hi-Plains League Girls Tournament at Johnson proudly displayed by Janie Perez, Kim Horn- baker, Mrs. Meyers, Mary Grubbs, and Terri Perez.
