IO URNALISM The purpose of Mrs. Martin's journal- ism class is to learn the fundamentals of journalism, which are reporting and writ- ing stories. The class writes and edits the school paper, the yearbook, and the Bronc's tale. - Through her teaching of journalism, Mrs. Martin would like to improve the attitude toward the school paper. Through the paper and the yearbook, she hopes to create a better relationship between the school and the community. Lavonna Martin SPEECH Speech is the only universal means of communication. The goal in speech class is to help students to become aware of the importance of good speech, to overcome their inhibitions, to gain self-confidence, and to establish values and principles which will be an asset in any walk of life that they may choose to follow. Madison Downing DRIVEPUS ED UC AT ION In Driver's Education, the text is co- ordinated with the various phases of driv- ing. The students drive on the highway. The classes try to simulate city driving as nearly as possible. In the latter part of the year, the students practice parallel parking. Time is also spent on physical testing by various devices.
