INDUSTRIAL ART S The industrial arts teacher at Lakin High is Mr. Verlyn Fisher. Mr. Fisher teaches his stu- dents the fundamental steps in constructing tables, lamps, and other elementary objects. Mr. Fisher helps his students in their construc- tion but tries to let the student work for himself and construct his own material. SOCIAL SCIENCE World History, American History, and American Government are the courses offered in social science. The purpose of these courses is to help the individual understand die devel- opment of our country and to develop ideas of patriotism. The knowledge gained by these courses plays an important part in our learning to be a good citizen and also in recognizing the responsibilities we have as a citizen of the United States.
