Fail-inch club The French Club wishes to stimulate interest in the acquisi- tion of knowledge pertaining to the culture, customs, lands and language of the French. They took a field trip to see Jacques Brel is alive and well and living in Paris in the fall and since then participated in the language club holiday party and had their own French dinner. The members of the Spanish Club are KL lo R2 Barry Gold, Rita jagodowitz, Janice Griffen, Howard Kern, Mark Fistes, Mindy Landers, Lynn Furtek, Theresa Bianchinni, Emily Gibbs, Miriam Pfeffer, Mitchell Goldstein, Kathy Bianchinni, Gilda Karu, Mrs. Madan, Harvey Gold, Mindy Horowitz. 11 s Spanish Club The Spanish Club, through various enjoyable activities furthers the interest in Spanish Culture in Lakewood High. This year its members attended the Foreign Language Club Convention, held fund-raising events, prepared a Spanish dinner, and had a holiday party with the other Language clubs. German Club The purpose of the German Club is to gain interest and knowl- edge concerning the culture, customs, and lands of the German speaking people. Various club activities include outings, picnics, parties, dinners, plays and films. The club maintains a scholar- ship fund for students who might otherwise not be able to par- ticipate in club activities. Honor Qooietg The National Honor Society's primary aim is to pro- mote the ideals of scholarship, leadership, character, and service in Lakewood High School. It performs worthwhile projects for the school and the community. This year, the honor society has tutored in Lakewood High, canvassed for the American Cancer Society, and once again made the New York Times available to the faculty and student body. Honor Society members tapped as juniors: Glenn Soberman, Steven Gelbstein Stuart, Harvey Gold, David Fytleson, Mark Sisskin, Mindy Horowitz, Marilyn and Gilda Karu. Missing: Lou Hammerman.
