Wk The Piner gridders, coached by Ed Brandt, had only a fair C4-5, record this year. The team's record did not really reflect their play, for they competed against some of the toughest teams of the state. Three of their four losses were to Toms River, Long Branch, and Middletown, which were all rated in the top ten of the state. Leading seniors on the Piner's offensive team were Art Warner, Barnie Griggs, and Richie Meyers, halfbacks, end, John Winn, and Signal caller Paul Benn. Playing both ways were Bubbles Lindsey, George Brown, and Jeff Grandinetti. Is it spiked? Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed. Senior gridders are KL.
