'Zf' Sedan! March 20, 1960 was the dedication date of the new Lakewood High School, a structure that offers opportunity and convenient facilities for the faculty and student body. This is a fifty-thousand foot building that is capable of facilitating 750 students. It contains nine general classrooms, two home economics rooms, two science rooms, the art and industrial arts rooms, the audi- torium which can seat 420 people, a gymnasium designed for two cross court basketball areas, a separate library, the kitchen and boiler room for school personnel and an administration area containing offices, health clinic, bookroom, and teachers' lounge. Within these many rooms, four different courses are given to pre- pare students for their life after high school: business, college pre- paratory, general, and vocational courses. 3
