Shameful and the Seven Sinners Sing at Homecoming Rally Ever hear of Shameful and the Seven Sinners? Neither had anyone else until senior boys disguised as a motorcycle gang invaded the Homecoming Pep Rally. They sang such hits as I Want to be a Weirdo Like You and Duke of Earl as girls swooned their approval. Seniors on the football, tennis and cross country teams were introduced by their coach- es. Cheerleaders gave each boy a yellow chrysanthemum. Homecoming Queen candidates, lean Conley, Loxi Groscost, Kathy Kaylor, Debbie Walsh and lo Weidemer, along with their escorts, were presented by Jeff Bentley, Social Committee Chairman. Votes were tallied and Loxi Groscost was named Homecoming Queen, 1972. Seniors were judged most spirited, but lu- niors took first prize for their Hold That Tiger float. 28

Rainbow Plays for Homecoming Dance Midst Medieval Scene What la contrasti Instead of leans and kacki, sports jackets, ties and dresses were the attire for the November 4th Homecoming Dance. I was very pleased, enthused Mrs. Yvonne Fulimeni, Student Center Director. 'tl just love to see the kids all dressed up and enjoying themselves at the same time . The Boys' Gym and the L Room were deco- rated in Medieval theme keeping with Social Chairman Jeff Bentley's explanation that Home- coming Coronations date back to the Middle Ages. Couples entered the gym across a draw bridge. The music though, provided by Rainbow, was strictly today, so was the dancing and Coke's are hardly Medieval. The dramatic moment was when Loxi Gros- cost was crowned as Lakewood's 1972-73 Homecoming Queen. Then for a few hours, for some 450 couples, the L Room and the Gym seemed to become a bit of Camelot. 30
