Hi-Y AdViS9I'S and Pfesidenfs 0 Mr. Vance, Ken Conry, Ron Tober, Mr. Wood, Dave Pickett, Mr. Anderson, Bob Weitzel. Mr. Butler, Mr. Jefferis, and Mr. Meyer discuss plans for future meetings and coordinate the various activities of the three chapters Hi-Y Combines Service, Pleasure ot Meetings Affiliated with the YMCA and the school, Hi-Y is a nationwide club for boys of high school age. Through Hi-Y, these young men have been initiated into the adult activities of the HY. Lakewood has three chapters divided by grade levels. Each chapter has made a pledge to the YH building fund for which they have held various fund raising activities. Car washes and the annual Christmas tree sale have kept the boys busy. Introducing Hi-Yiers to community life is another important aspect of the program. Co-sponsoring a carnival with the adult group, the boys added still more to the building fund. They also assisted the adults in initiating activities in the new gym. A high point in this year's activities was the inter-racial dinner, sponsored by the senior chapter, and held with Glenville High School. Page 28 Friendship girls raise funds for their chapter by selling refreshments and programs at games
