0 1 Progressive Leaders Plan for Community's The past year's planning for the expen- diture ot' almost one million dollars to- ward the betterment of Lakewood's ed- ucational plant and program is an out- standing example of the kind of prog- ressive work performed by the five able and civic-minded members of the Lake- wood Hoard ol' Education. These untir- ing public servants have accepted the responsibility of giving to Lakewood students the kind of instruction which will be needed if the world is to be free from the blight of war. For the past four years emphasis has been placed on education for victoryg now the accent is on peace and the fostering of world fellowship and understanding to pre-- serve that peace.
