The cheerleaders of Lakevllle Hugh School had a very mce season to cheer about thls year thanks to the basketball team The varslty cheerleaders are as follows Luczlle McK1nley Dorxs Morr1s and Mxckey Shearer The re serve cheerleaders are Ellzabeth Morrxs Sh1rley Boals and Betty Graham W1th thls bemg the varsxty cheerleaders second year of varslty work to gether we found mt more convenxent cheerleadxng with each other than wmth somebody new Thxs was the fxrst year of cheerxng together for the reserve cheerleaders Wlth our representmg Lakevmlle I-hgh School at the Holmes also had the experxence of cheermg on the floor at Dover after the wmmng of Consolatlon at Mlllersburg Th1s ms the thxrd year mn the Yell Department for Dorxs Morrms and M1ckey Shearer second year for Lucllle McK1nley and the fxrst year for all the re serve cheerleaders although they dxd a very good Job The strxps on our letters are begmnmg to look very mce The varslty su1ts conslsted of red corduroy skxrts and wesklts gray blouses whlte shoes and red anklets Thls made a very becommg p1cture when we were leadxng the cheers together Now wxth the basketball season over we are keepmg our eyes open for the basketball banquet and the forth commg year of another good basketball season . , 'Vi County Tournament we captured the Holmes County Cheerleading Trophy.
