Tabor for outstanding guidance to all students. Mrs. Tabor was advisor for most student organizations, a job that many would find intolerable. She attended all student functions and corre- sponded between students and administration. Also, Mrs. Tabor is the maternal and newborn instructor and has been with Lakeview for over 25 years. As students of Lakeview Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, we hon- or and dedicate this book to our lady of the year, Mrs. Kathleen Tabor. SMUKQN4 Beth Fellers with daughter ., , My , , , wi s w. Student Nurses Association of lllinois is an organization representing the interest and abilities of student nurses throughout the state of Illinois, and also throughout the nation by representing each of its mem- bers on the national level in ASNA. This year Lakeview has been honored in the representation of many of its students on both state and district levels of the organization. Miss Marsha Elledge was District 4 president of the 72-73 year, with Miss Barb Merhley as secretary, Mrs. Vada Leong as District Breakthrough chairman and Miss Joyce Cundiff as project chairman. Mrs. Carol Furgal served as co-advisor. Although these students and faculty held offices, the operation of the organization was the concern of all members. Congratulations go out to the following students, who will be taking office in the district for the 73-74 year. Wanda Landsdown, presidentg LuAnn Lindgren, vice-presidentg Winnie Snedeker, secretaryg and Lynn Blackford, breakthrough chairman. Eight students and two instructors attended the state convention held in Rockford, lll., an experience that could only be described by witnessing the event. Through a lot of hard work and campaigning jackie Islam was elected corresponding secretary of the state. Hoping that all students and professional nurses take an active interest in their professional organization so that nursing may have a voice in its governing. nurse power if IX -. if!
