The glowing redhead whose paths in life have taken her many places in many functions-- her steps this time take her away from her position as health director at Lake View to the bigger city of Miami, Florida. Mrs. Shernock's affiable personality makes her an individual not to be easily forgotten. Whether she was coaxing a doctor, curing a student, or recruiting help for Dr. Ochoa's cow, Mrs. Shernock was always the same vi- vacious, gregarious personality--whether she be Miss Rebel in Faculty Follies or Mrs. Shernock of 4th floor rear. 2 E I I The greatest moment in the long history of the Lake View Memorial Hospital School of Nursing arrived on Friday, july 2, 1971. This is when the letter was re- ceived from the National League of Nursing telling of our School's complete, 6-year accreditation. What an accomplishment! Accreditation for a school of nursing is equivalent to the stamp of sterling on silver. How proud I am of our Director, Mrs. Charline Grygiel, her faculty and staff. It took years of hard work, great intelligence and unbelievable perseverance to achieve this ultimate goal. How fortunate we are to have the finest nursing leader in the country right here at Lake View, Mrs. Grygiel. This remarkable lady dreams great dreams and then proceeds to make them come true. With a noble history, with cherished traditions, with devoted community support, our School of Nursing can now advance under the banner of accreditation in a way never before possible. The future has never been brighter. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all who worked so hard to help Mrs. Grygiel lead us to victory. Austin J. Evans Administrator Mr. Rush is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.S. degreeg and a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College in Norfolk, Virginia. I-Ie has had ex- tensive administrative experience climaxed by a tour at the joint Chief of Staff level of the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. He has also had civilian administrative experience with a local industry. Mr. Rush stated, Lake View Memorial Hospital is my first experience in hospital work, however, I enjoy Lake View very much and feel that the people I associate with are the greatest.
