Although now considered an obsolete ritual in many schools of nursing, the capping ceremony is longingly looked forward to by the L.V.M.l-I. pro- bies. As well as meaning successful completion of six months of hard study, it is a turning point from green probies to becoming true freshmen. They now have their caps--that beautiful symbol of the nursing profession. We upperclassmen and members of the faculty welcome all the freshmen and wish them God's blessings.
