Lakeview journeys to Oklahoma Directors ludy Douglas, Phil Bauman, and Larry Nye brought the popular musical Oklahoma by Rodgers and Hammerstein to our auditorium on April 27 and 28. With only five seniors in this pro- duction, a great deal of talent is left behind for future musicals. Oklahoma, which takes place at the turn of the century in a small town, deals with a cowboy named Curly and his love for a sweet farm girl named Laurie. - SS Director Iudy Douglas and choreographer Larry Nye block out an intricate scene. The orchestra relaxes in one of their rare, yet memorable, appearances out of the pit. 22 f Musical Q Will Parker KSteve Hoffman? shows true Oklahoma hospitality to Ado Annie fLaura Myersl. Suze Humiston and Rob Barnard perform the dance sequence.

Lakeview's band is Stepping Gut for a good time With their impeccable precision and blend of unique style, the bands dazzled the crowds at the many events in which they participated. The Marching Band appeared in such events as the Homecoming Parade and the M.S.B.O.A. Marching Festival, where they received top first division rating in class A. The season climaxed with the play-off performances in Grand Rapids and the Silverdome Band-O-Rama concert in November. The Jazz Band performed per usual in the Fan- tasy. The Symphonic Band performed in the Winter and Spring Concerts, plus the Memorial Day Parade and at Commencement. The Concert Band appeared at two home football games and at two concerts and the Marching Band-O-Rama. The band's dutiful officers were president, Walter Runkle, vice president, Dave Estes, secretary, Diana Patientg treasurer, Ramona Frost. The Flag Captain was Diana Patient. - CD if Lunch at MSU Band Camp is u real experience. Complete with a face painted purple, Kristen Glubke drums the Spartans on Led by Field Directors Randy Reed and Ramona Frost, the band plays at the Winter Concert. Is Mr. Moore going fishing for talent at Band 24 X Band Camp?
