Students .... 19j8 We are the students who, in the colorful and crisp autumn, returned to Ll-LS. to begin a new year. As we looked upon the year from that first day, we set our sights on a bright beginning for friendships, a better education, a successful football season, and new experiences. The days grew colder, the hard winds started to blow, trips to the Administration Building seemed tougher and tougher. Homecoming introduced the first snow fall, and the winter winds were here to stay. Thanksgiving found us thankful for the great school we attended .... wishes that had been fulfilled . . . . that world crises were easier . . . . that we are in America and free to have our thanks . As students, we looked for jobs over the Christmas holidays .... and shopped and partied and skated .... on cold winter evenings studied in cozy living rooms, unmindful of the harsh north winds. At the start of the New Year, we found ourselves blinking and wondering .... wondering where in the world that half year had gone. It was gone, though, so we picked up and plunged into a second semester with vows to may harder. The rrhrrey Gang rehearsed and produced Turn Right , while the basketball team looked forward to new victories. The days grew longer, the universe more cluttered with Fxplorers and jupiters. Victories for all came and went. Time flew! Being students and in our youth, Spring hit us like the flu epidemic. Colors once again mingled around our building .... breezes blew .... flowers bloomed. To seniors, farewellg to 'good luck .
