By choosing music as our theme for the 1986 yearbook LaChatte, we hoped to em- phasize the family and friendships we have all shared throughout the year. Music has not only brought us, as a student body, together, but it has also helped us to understand, learn, and grow. Because of our association with music we, as editors, felt there was no better choice for the theme of the 1986 yearbook. Def Leppard MlUl red and the “CELEBRATION . . Gc Gc s In the summer of '85, it seemed like the LHS band was off to a good start. The band students participated in a one-week training camp, led by Jeff Buchanan. With his help, the band had a successful marching season. The LHS band used money encumbered from 4 years of fund-raising to purchase new uniforms for the band and flag corps. This success was carried out into December when the band performed a Christmas concert with the Middle School musicians. After Christmas break, the band rehearsed for 4 mon- thes for the district festival only to receive, for the third consecutive year, a three.
