football what can one say about a great team that had a disappointing season? you can't say the team had no desire. desire was evident in everything the team did. you can't say the team had no pride. each member had pride in the team and himself. you can't say the team had lack of dedica- tion ..... or spirit. what was it then? an unknown foe that can only be conquered by next year's hard work. dedication, and pride. ends - art yauger. ted saum, jim root, chuck gisewhite, mark ewart linemen - bill zuga. steve james, don devaul, tom dickey, john dick, bill rudy, Chester wajda, john ward, andy kline, ed mosko, randy johnson, john sernulka, rick prince, leslie stewart, backs a brian beaumont, ernie Stewart, tom propst, jeff byler, tom siebenaller, craig Clemens, lee stringer, dave obradovich, doug murphy, mark wajda, ken welch, not shown, bob Whetstone, rod devaul.

freshman cross country this past year's freshman team was defeated only one time, and that defeat at the hands of badger was avenged at the end of the season. however, the high point of the season was the harriers' second place finish at the Iabrae invitational. the only team to finish ahead of the bulldogs was the perennial aaa powerhouse austintown fitch. the freshman team was sparked by several outstanding runners. greg jones was given the most valuable freshman award, and there was no question that he deserved it. greg was beaten during the year by only one other freshman. two other freshmen who were solid con- tributors were randy keller and tom wade. this was the first year as cross country runners for these boys, yet they both were in the top five spots. perhaps the three greatest eighth grade runners in lakeviewis history were larry harris, tim hutton, and ronnie hillier. these boys were always in the top five and constantly amazed the older opponents by outrunning them. if these young, inexperienced runners continue in the cross country program, lakeview should be one of the top competitors in the area in the near future. hard work and time will tell. upper Ieft-left to right-tom wade, brian mosko, tony niemi, dave stroup, tom teachout, waltzienkiewicz emanager, jim rossi, Iarry harris, gary marr, ron hillier, randy keller, greg jones, alfie rossi, tim hutton
