cross country driving oneself past the breaking point, bearing an unbearable pain, feel- ing as if your lungs might burst at the prospect of another step, striving to be the best, not only for the team, but for your own personal victory. this is cross country. this year our cross country team was one of the best. they finished in seventh place at malone out of thirty teams. the win over warren western reserve was another highlight of the season. our cross country runners worked hard and dedicated themselves to winning. the most valuable runner this season was sophomore alan burnett. our only senior runner, jim elliott, received the golden guts award. the future is bright for our cross country team. returning harriers and upcoming freshmen will no doubt prove themselves to be an even better team. left to right-mike zienkiewicz, tim draper. tim wisor, tom abbey. lee nelson, alan burnett. tim abbey, jim elliott, bob vesper, george barnes, jim bridgens, Steve dravesky. ken kagy. doug wllcox.
