the 1972 football homecoming took place on october 6 during the game with newton falls. anticipation of the coming eventwas highly experienc- ed by everyone. in almost unbearable weather conditions, the crowd anxiously awaited the final moment of the crowning 0f the queen. mrs. anita kean piper, last year's queen, crowned miss susan passek as the homecoming queen of 1972. senior attendants were terry november, es- corted by bill marshall; renee rossi, escorted by don nadzan; and mary kay denovchek, escorted by jim gilmartin. the junior attendant was tanya jennings, escorted by jim book; sophomore attendantwas pam dockery, escorted by howard griffith and the freshman attendant was amy Iaurich, escorted by kirby saum. after the game, the festivities with the theme iistairway to heaven moved indoors, featuring the sounds of cortney busch. homecoming '72 ....... an event which will be long remembered.
