Pencraft Staff Do not be misled. Pencraft is mere- ly a sneak phase for ttcrafty-with- the-pen. Every year Pencraft steals from, sneaks from, and bleeds the English department of all the creative writing they can get their greedy ink-stained hands on. Every year they succeed. Why? Because they sneak and steal with discrimination, so you donit have to wade through tons of supercili- ous wordiness. Every poem, every short story, every philosophic essay is a literary gem. Pretty sneaky, huh? Co-editors ......... Lee Ann Durst Kathy Daugherty Pat Zuga Typists ........... Lee Ann Durst Dawn Ward Artists ............ Karen Stroup Debbie Laurich Selectors ......... Y-Teens Young Woments Christian Association. Whatts it like? Its like giving cookies to nursing homes and to the men in Vietnam. Showing consideration for the ill-consid- ered. Its like giving clothes to people of poor circumstances. Itis like concern. Sponsored by Mrs. Novak and headed by Kathy Palmer, the meetings were held in a relaxed atmosphere where the girls, among other things, learned how to apply make-up as well as themselves. The biggest event of the year was, of course, the Y-Teens Christmas Formal. This year found the ttYms at Packard Music Hall, where this year's president, Miss Kathy Palmer vied for Queen. Another outstanding year for the Y-Teens, yet a typical one.

Lewis, Honors Reading The image of the kid with a large head, a small body, and glasses three inches thick reading Shakes- peare is gone. Honors Reading is not. The glasses usually turn out to be contacts, and the choice of books is somewhat contemporary. No more Thoreau or Longfellow. More Truman Capote, Agatha Chris- tie, or Erich Segal. Organizationsl61
