Scholarships Most coaches say that if you get one scholarship a year you are doing well. lf you were rated on scholarships, I we would be the best, said Coach Bobby Ewell. This year we had nine scholar- ships awarded to varsity football players. The scholarships Call 4-yearj and their recipients are: University of Texas at El Paso Lance Brownlee University of Houston Clay Cain Kansas Wesleyan Scott DeWees Cameron University Reagan Dill McMurry College Bubba Garcia University of Texas at El Paso Jeff Grimes McMurry College Tim McCoy Cameron University Nick Scaglione Cameron University Mike Wynn. Much work was put into helping these athletes obtain these scholarships. Vir- tually every college was called to get them. The problem was that the col- leges expect bulldozers that can work, run and do more than a human can, Kerry Spencer rushes downfield. and, as Coach Ewell explained, I feel that the faculty did an outstandingjob in helping get these scholarships. -WF?
