Sweethearts While most of the student body are just beginning to get ready for school the Sweethearts sponsored by Miss Susan Gorham are busy practicing for their Fri day night football perfor mances Each morning from 7 00 am until the end of first period the Sweethearts not only for football but also for basketball competl tions and various other civic performances as well as their annual spring show At SMU line camp this summer the team showed its true skill and excellence by bringing home awards In Sweepstakes home routine excellence and the spirit pom The Sweethearts also won the title of most ad mired squad out of approx :mately 40 schools at the camp Thirteen ladies were nominated for Superstar Girl and Captain jennifer Bridwell was awarded the At officer camp the Sweetheart officers proved that they truly had leader ship qualities They claimed Sweepstakes The Shining Star Award and had several Superstar Girl nominees len nifer Bridwell was again chosen for the honor , .
