Marching Band This year the Band has gone thru many changes, such as many new rules and the coming of new uniforms. The Band has always been a strong support in Lakeview s theme f pride and this year was no exception. The Band received many awards ,.......f ,, during winning performances at such events as the Labor Day Parade, the Plano East competition, U.I.L. Marching Competition, and all Varsity football games. Drum majors fheadl Kent Hampton Steve Livingston and Cary Wilkinson placed fourth out of sixty in a competi- tion at East Texas State. N: v. jazz Band The lazz Band was a select roup of students directed by Mr. Lynn Childers. These sixth periods every day and received an admirable reputa- tion both at Lakeview and throughout the state of Texas. The jazz Band performed in San Antonio with Freedom The group received a stand- ing ovation from Superin- tendents and School Board dis ricts fo their per- formance.
