They had an orgy, no, not that kind, but the type ordered at The Magic Time Machine for a Latin Club party. A few courageous students took their lives into 5. Which they started out with several ac- tivities including meeting with the Garland German-American Club. Where they attended films musical programs and historical programs concerning German history, They went to Germany Austria and Swiss restaurants experiencing dif- ferent types of food. They enter various competitions in- cluding State German Competi- tions and other language con- tests. For a moneymaker pro- ject the group sold Austrian Crystal. During the week of Spring break many of the students went to Germany Austria and Switzerland. Spanish Club Lakeview Centennial's Spanish Club is sponsored by Mrs. Garcia. This organization is open to everyone but en- courages the membership of mostly past or present students enrolled in spanish classes. The club sold World's Finest Chocolate Bars as a fund-raiser this year. The Spanish Club had several par- ties and get-togethers, one of which included dinner at Pan- cho s and an officer meeting at El Chico. The club members and officers discussed details for a possible trip to Cancun Mexico for the month after school released for summer break. Like all other groups throughout the state of Texas, the Spanish Club found it necessary to change many of its past activities to corres- pond with new regulations provided in House Bill 72. Among these changes was the cancellation of the annual Pads convention held in San Antonio.
