The group had an enjoyable time at Old City Park and the Old Spaghetti During the year they had many guest speakers one of vvhich includes Dr DeVega Dr l3eVega spoke about coming to America from Cuba The group really en ioyed hearing him speak and encouraged other students to come with him, Warehouse. Which they started out with several ac- tivities including meeting with the Garland German-American Club. Where they attended films musical programs and historical programs concerning German history, They went to Germany Austria and Swiss restaurants experiencing dif- ferent types of food. They enter various competitions in- cluding State German Competi- tions and other language con- tests. For a moneymaker pro- ject the group sold Austrian Crystal. During the week of Spring break many of the students went to Germany Austria and Switzerland.
