Learning to house America One of man's basic needs is that of a place to live. Homes are always in demand, and people in construction can find a job easily. Several students are participating in the building trades courses offered at Lakeview. The classes practice building by constructing scale models of buldings. The beginning of the two-year course consists of a mini-lesson in wood types and their uses. Lakeview builders-in-training are called out frequently on small jobs to practice their skills. 3 i , my If , Adam Mendoza shows his skills on the power saw qw' 02 The afternoon class makes plans for their next project. These cars are supplied by both faculty and area residents. Students enrolled in Paint and Body are instructed on the priming and repainting of cars. By the end of the two year program, each person is equipped with enough knowledge to go out into the working world in either of these two job areas.
