Students learn Spanish life, customs A knowledge of Spanish is especially helpful to those of us living in a state bordering Mexico. Many members of the student body are presently taking Spanish and a majority of these people are members of the Spanish Club. Through classroom work and club discussions much is learned about daily life in Spanish speaking countries. During February the Spanish Club had a guest speaker, Carmen Taffola, artist in residence for the Garland school district. She shared her knowledge of Spanish dialects with club members and also the Spanish classes. Miss Taffola is a specialist in foreign languages. At the annual Food Fest all four foreign language clubs got a taste of authentic Spanish cuisine. Span- ish Club also participated in the Foreign Language Olympics in the spring. Ag, ' X 5.
