Giving service to school, community ' Sponsored by the Lake Ray Hub- bard Kiwanis Club, Key Club is founded on the principle of service to the community and school. This year's members have got the year off to a great start by helping the Stu- dent Council with preparations for the Homecoming dance. The Key Club was responsible for the balloons that were released during the cor- onation, and they also sold blue and gold balloons at the game. In addition the club sponsored two victory dances during football season. Help was provided by many . . if Club members attend called meeting. members at the annual Turkey Shoot sponsored by the Kiwanis Club. There are two community service projects each spring and a series of scholarships given to senior club members each year. This year's hard-working Key Club officers are Robert Barr, President, David Buchanan, and John Porter, co vice-presidents and Kathi King at Erna Grasz, assistant secretari Britt Kelly, treasurer, and Jim lr sheriff. Also included on the bo are two senior class representativi Margie Young and Kirk Fieli juniors, Cheryl Rogers and Ke Dowdleg sophomores, Suzann Fly and Jeff Stameyg and freshma Sheila Neilon. Sponsor Jed Reed goes over the group's upcoming activities.

This year the Beta Club has focused on helping NHS in various activities. A major fund raiser for Beta Club was the Easter season Hop-a-Grams. Club members dressed as bunny rabbits delivered Easter greetings to anxious Patriots. At the end of this year all Beta Club members became eligible for mem- bership in the prized National Honor Society.
