Progress in Action DEDICATION In accordance with our theme, Progress in Action, we wish to dedicate the 1959 LAKETONIAN to our trustee of the last eight years, Mr. Clarence B. Schuler, because of the many things made possible in our school in the Progress of Education during that time. We appreciate very much these many improvements, and especially the most recent--the construc- tion of the new building for the cafeteria, the kindergarten, and grades 1, 2, and 3, and the new Indus- trial Arts and Agriculture Building. By the construction of these two new buildings, other improvements were made possible this year--a different, larger, and modern music room, a different science room with new modern equipment, and new shower rooms and lockers for the Athletic Department. Although we have these many new and wonderful improvements this year, we cannot overlook im- provements of the other years, which also added greatly to the Progress of Education in our school. Some are these: New modern desks for the grade children, new tables and equipment for the Agriculture De- partment, remodelling the home economics room and adding new equipment and getting new typewriters for the Commerce Department, including an electric typewriter. Also, we have new studies in the high school, and new teachers have been added to the school staff. We are also very proud of our new kinder- garten, for it is the first in a township school in our county. All of these improvements, and any omitted, have been greatly appreciated and in the Spirit of Progress we wish Mr. Schuler much happiness in his future years. Best Wishesl
