Looking Into The Future We, the members of the prophecy committee, in the year 1975, were cruising around in the iono- sphere in our space ships to make a survey of the class of '59, and this is what we have discovered: Steve Purdy, due to his ability to open his mouth so wide in Mixed Chorus, is now working as Elvis Presley's hound dog. Wilbur Wolf, the great mathematician, now the owner of Hurly-Burly Jets, Incorporated, is flying to the moon every hour on the hour. Jackie Flack's two outstanding qualities, her ability to attract male attention and her singing voice, have made her latest record, Lover Come Back to Me, a smash hit with the male audience. Mike Hileman, who has always been a hot- rodder with a cruising speed of 175 M.P.H. in his hot Ford, is now driving in the 500 mile race held in Stringtown, (and is coming in in last place). Janet Brubaker, with her flaming red hair, is now appearing in a Broadway show in New York. She is the renowned Flamin' Marne'! Delores Neher, due to her driving ability is now test pilot for Ace Auto Sales, and on holidays, she teaches Drivers' Training to the cast of the Romper Room. Carolyn Kline, always the quiet one, is now portraying the role of Sylvia Silent, in Willie Gig- gle's Old Time Moviehouse. Ralph James, due to his capacity as a speaker, is now the head of Ralph’s Oratorical Society in Timbuctoo. Eddie Hampton, during his term of serving at the Senior Candy Stand, acquired an ability to run a stand, and is now running Ze Olde Candy Shoppe in the suburbs of Ijamsville. Junior Hoover always managed to stay out of trouble, yet do what he wanted. He is now run- ning a casino in Reno, Nevada, called Junior's Jive. Jane Bucher, always eager to learn, is now climbing the ladder of success by painting stair steps in the basement of the Empire State Building. Ken Beachler, the Sportsman, is now in part- nership with Yogi Bear, (a Huckleberry Hound cartoon) and as a team they tour the township on their world famous skates. Wendy Susie Fryer has opened a new field in the beauty business--cutting hair with pinking shears. It gives you that jagged look. Sharon Dickerhoof has always had a craze for writing themes and has joined with some famed cartoonists in writing Shabby Sharon's Safari through Siam. Ruth Evans has contracted a partnership with a Slenderella School, and has invented a new reducing machine called the De-obeser. Mildred Entsminger, after getting so much practice fighting off all those boys, has become the Men's and Women's World Lightweight Boxing Champion. Connie Smith and her steady beau have final- ly gotten around to saying those vows. Now, they are following a family tradition by raising little bus drivers. Helen Ebbinghouse, with her tiny waist, has been employed by Murphy's Dime Store in North Manchester. She is the head of the belt model- ing department. Beth Moyer, a city girl, who always had an understanding with the teachers of L.H.S., is now President of Moyer Life Insurance Company. Judianne Clark, since graduating, has changed her last name and opened a beauty shop. Her most frequent customers are her two lovely daughters. Becky Ayres has achieved her long-awaited goal. She is now steering in steers at the Steer Inn.” Charles Kelly was always a leader while in school, and is now using this quality to explore the craters on the dark side of the moon. Since we are running out of fuel, we must close our survey. Sponsored by CONTAINER CORPORATION of AMERICA Wabash, Indiana
