Mr. Raymond Schott became part time guidance counselor this year. He works along with Miss Bourff and Mr. Hoffman. His other duties include being the Student Council Advisor and teaching Latin. Miss Bourff is full time guidance counselor here at Lakeside. Some of her tasks are making necessary program changes, helping students with problems they might have, and preparing them for high school.

Mr. Jackson, our principal, has applied his abil- ities at Lakeside Junior High School for five years. He has helped make our school one of the best in the Fort Wayne area. A principal has a number of very impor- tant duties. He is responsible for the entire operation of our school. Mr. Jackson holds conferences with the guid- ance staff, custodial staff, r-fp and cafeteria person- nel. He has to plan events not only for this year, but for oncoming years also. Throughout these impor- tant jobs, he takes time out to talk to students personally. Mr. Jack- son is a great asset to Lakeside. Mr. Hoffman is Lakeside ' s Assistant Principal He is one of the three guidance coordinators and does individual counseling. He takes care of all student activities and assigns all students to lockers and home- rooms. Each year he has to take inventory of all books and sup- plies, program hearing and visual tests, and schedule assemblies. He is kept hopping all day long and there ' s never a dull moment when he ' s around. Mr. Hoff- man truly is valuable to Lake- side.

Mrs. Shirley Davis is Lakeside s study hall clerk and the Director of Attendance. She has the job of keeping study hall to a quiet roar and also keeping a record of the attendance. Mrs. ' Roberta Ellingwood is kept busy with the job as one of our secretaries. She does all jobs of a sec- retary plus some little odds and ends. She also has the special job of payroll clerk. fimiyj Mrs. Ruth Messerschmidt is our other secretary. She does many of the same jobs as Mrs. Ellingwood. She also has a special job: school treasurer.
