IT ' S ELECTION DAY! On November 8 Lakeside students went to the polls to cast their ballots in a mock presidential election, arranged by history teachers, Miss Marie Johnston and Mr. Thomas Schuckel. Eight voting booths had been installed, and students who had previously regis- tered entered the booths, where they could vote either a straight ticket or split their tickets. Results of the election were officially announced to the student body at one o ' clock, election day. The final count was: President: Richard Nixon John Kennedy Crawford Parker Matthew Welsh E. R.
