Besides accompanying the team to all of the out-of-town football games, the band made several other stops throughout the state. Several ninth graders attended Region jr. High Clinic tryouts in Ashdown. Those students selected forjr. Clinic were M. Blair, G. Spakes, M. Steinbrenner and T. Theimann. Other band members attended Sr. Clinic and those making Sr. Band Clinic were: 2nd-D. Wenner, L. Hyndman, L. Burris, V. Maner, J. Faulkner, E. Grissom, D, Garner, lst-D. Moen, J. Rubert, J. Hubert, E. Smith, K. Smallwood. All State Tryouts-L. Bond, J. Hinson, L. Sloan, B. Hubbard, D. johnson. Band members also brought home over 75 individual medals from solo 8: ensemble. Attending 2 marching contests and marching in the State Fair Pa- rade added to their list of triumphs. Four seniors were selected for the Mid-South Honor Band and along with Mr. Davis attended a workshop at U. of Miss. in Oxford.
