The 1963 team scored 452 points in an 11-game schedule for an average of 41 points per game, the best offensive record in school history. CLASS AA-From 1970 through 1976 Lakeside won 56, lost 21, tied 1 for a 77lXJ. During that time they won 4 region titles including being state Semi-Finalist in 1974 and State Runner-up in 1975. In all the 28 years combined Lakeside has won 201, lost 79, tied 13 for a 7O'M,. So instead of jump- ing to conclusions and running people down, leap on the wagon and become a 'Ram. ' Then when we hear 2 bits, 4 bits, 6 bits, a dollar, all for Lakeside stand up and holler and we hear loud and clear That's the Lakeside Battle cry, we will know we are together and that we are doing it our way in Region V-AAA. - Chick Austin

The past season saw the end of an era in Lakeside Foot- ball, It also saw one of the worst win-loss records in school history. School spirit was at an all-time low. Famous yells like All for Lakeside, stand up and holler resulted in about half the group standing. Another traditional Lakeside cheer, That's the Lakeside Battle Cry, produced loud screams from each individual class but not very loud for the Lakeside Battle Cry. This indicates a lack of unity, a unity that some of us can look back on with great pride. Let's examine the Ram Football Roots and see if we can't dig what a good school we have. CLASS B-From 1949 through 1960 the Rams won 84, lost 32, tied 3 for a 72W. They ' won 4 district titles during this time including 3 straight 1 s undefeated season plus a 38- game Win- Foot ,slab-Q4 mv 1 7.x-3?r+fgc , t . . .. ,. 3 I ' ' K . Ain ' KH? 1,12 . Next year the Rams look for- ward with great hope as they enter into Region V-AAA. For a football team to be a good group, members of the Senior Class have to be the leaders because of their maturity and experience. They cannot achieve success without a positive attitude from the junior and sophomore members of the team. The football team members cannot be successful unless they are motivated by parents, faculty, and their everyday classmates and that goes for every other organization in school also.
