Wild But Wet... I. The J.V. Cheerleaders show their spirit during the rainy wet Homecoming game 2 Seniors show their spirit in their hall decoration 3. The students show their spirit by participating in Hawaiian day. 9. Junior class float took third place. 10. Sophomore class float took first place. Homecoming ’84 Homecoming 1984 started off with a great week of activities. Students showed their school spirit by par- ticipating in Hawaiian Day, Farmer Day, Nerd Day, Toga Day and the traditional Red and White Day. Senior class boys competed for the ti- tle of ugly man. Every year the ugly man is crowned at the bonfire, the idea is to raise money for the cheerleaders. The contestant that raises the most money is crowned ugly man by the Var- sity cheerleaders. This year Steve Col- lins was crowned, but all together the contestants raised over $300.00. This year, for the first time, each class decorated a hall using the theme “Holidays. The Seniors took first place with their “Sweet Valentine hallway, also this year the sophomore class took first in the float contest with their Christmas float. In the yell down, the seniors showed that they had the most spirit. The class of '85 also set a new record by being the first class to win the yell down for four consecutive years. The 1983 Homecoming Queen, Susan Strejc returned to crown the 1984 queen who was Karen Guse. Karen then crowned Mike Gathright as Homecoming King.

The Senior boys show that they can mount just as good as the Varsity Cheerleaders. 12. Camilla Brand, an exchange student at L.H.S. shows her Lancer pride. 13.
