oz-son soi HOMECOMING 1983! j. Kathy Vandermolen and Laura Ochsner show their spirit on twin day. 3. Ugly man. Randy Riepma. shows his legs!! 4. Phil Paarlberg and Scott Franklin dress for sweats day. 5. On big day. Tami Tomasello donates to ugly man. Bill Wilkinson. Homecoming week began with a burst of spirit at LHS! People dressed up for twins day. sweats day. big day. and last but not least, the all time favorite red and white day! And of course all week long, brave senior guys, who dressed up in zany outfits, collected money to see who would win the ugly man contest. The ugly men raised a fantastic sum of money and contributed it to the Lakeshore Foundation which has shown the greatest spirit of all by providing the money needed for our extra curricular activities. At Thursday's big Homecoming bon fire, all the ugly candidates, Bill Wilkinson. Pat Bevi- lacqua. Scott Hanson, Scott Ruble. Paul Lucker, Javier Sarmiento. Randy Riepma. and Ralph Luci- us stood in front of the crowd and Scott Hanson was crowned ugliest! He achieved this honor by begging for the most money from his friends! Friday afternoon's pep rally was held in the gym this year due to cold weather. The juniors won the spirit yell down for the third year in a row under cheerleader” Jason De Voir! Lake- shore’s fantastic marching band and the spirited cheerleaders added to the excitement of the day. The floats were judged during pre-game Fri- day night and the queen candidates were intro- duced. During half time, the Bucks were beating us but we were determined to play tougher. The spectacular marching band put on a magnicifent performance for the Lancer fans to enjoy! Highlighting the evening. Amy Warner re- turned to crown Suzan Strejc as the Homecom- ing Queen of 1984! Following the half time events, the game resumed with a final score of 29-6. our loss. Afterwards, the annual Homecom- ing dance was held in the school cafeteria. The Homecoming King candidates. Earl Koch. Erich Nus. Joe Verbraska. Bill Weirick. Andy Williams, and Mike Wyble. lined up in front of the curious onlookers. Who would be King? Tension mount- ed as Suzan took the crown and placed it on Earl Koch’s head! A perfect ending to a great Home coming! 6 HOMECOMING
