HOMECOMING HOMECOMING HOMECOMING STUDENT BODY JOINS IN CELEBRATION m W G X co Q Z co Z O f D CQ £ X % Q RED AND WHITE DAY SPORTS DAY Homecoming ’81 was a spectacular celebration of Lake- shore’s 25th Anni- versary. Each day of the week students dressed according to different themes. To launch off the week’s activities queen re- presentatives were elected on Monday. Tuesday marked the start of the Ugly Man Contest with Dave Goetz, Mike Melcher, Eric Pfeil, Chris Pinderski, Richard Puchinsky, and Tim Wheeler begging for money in PREPPY DAY their “ugly” cos- tumes. Alumni re- turned Thursday for the first alumni football game followed by the bon fire where Tim Wheeler was crowned Ugly Man. Class floats were first displayed at Friday’s pep assembly when the freshmen showed off their LHS spirit by winning the yell down. Festivities continued into the evening when the band and pom pon girls performed at pre-game. During half-time the senior class captured first place with their float, “Sailing”. Finally highlighting the week, Lisa Sorensen was crowned Homecoming Queen 1981! The football team then returned to the field to clobber Buchanan 7-3. At the after- game dance, sponsored by the student council, Lisa crowned Dave Roden king to top off the perfect week of celebration.
