Varsity Girls Basketball Front row: Nancy McGrath, Coach Davison. Sit- ting: Marlene Peldys, Chris lanelli, Linda Snyder, Mary Beth Varney, Deanne Gleffe. Standing: Kim Foster, Dawn Farrow, Lori Keitzer, )amie Sinkiewicz, Rhonda Ray. This season's squad was an enjoyable group of young ladies to work with. They worked and played hard to reach the limits of their basketball potential and learned a great deal about themselves, athletics, and competition from both the highlights and the low points of the season. Kim Foster, the team's leading scorer and one of the most intense competitors in Southwest Michigan was named to the Blossomland All-Conference Team as a guard. Kim also was voted by her teammates the Most Valuable Player Award for the 1977 season. Jamie Sinkiewicz, also named to the All-Conference Team as a guard, was the team's 2nd leading scorer and led the team in assists and steals. Jamie was voted the Defensive Player of the Year by her teammates. Marlene Peldys, the leading rebounder and 3rd leading scorer, was selected Honorable Mention All-Confer- ence. Linda Snyder won the Most Improved Player Award, as voted by the team. With hard work and a commitment to excellence this summer, we are enthusiastically anticipating a reward- ing and successful season next fall.
