LAKESHORE JUNIOR MISS Junior Miss pageants are designed to find and honor the nation's ideal senior girls, to recognize their positive ac- complishments, and to stress their admirable qualities and ideas. This year's Junior Miss pageant was sponsored by the Lakeshore Junior Women's Club. Fourteen girls competed in this year's contest. The following awards were presented to the contestants: POISE AND APPEARANCE AWARD, Kathy Necas; CREATIVE ARTS AWARD, Peggy Root; PERFORM- ING ARTS AWARD, Melanie Hendrix; SCHOLASTIC AWARD, Sue Kunkel; PHYSICAL FITNESS AWARD and JUDGES CONFERENCE AWARD, Sandy Gotstein; and SPIRIT OF JUNIOR MISS AWARD, Becky Shapleigh.
