The Marching Lancers This year’s marching season was a year of many firsts. In Au- gust we met our new marching director Mr. Bembenek, at Band Camp. With Mr. Bembenek and Mr. Lesser combining their thoughts, thev came up with some great shows and dance routines. One of these featured the band playing a song on Kazoos. At the I jkeshore vs. St. Joe football game, the Battle of the Bands was won bv the Lancer Band. Our pride and joy of the band, was the new set of “Timp-Toms” which were placed beautifully by Mark Sanford. In October, two new awards the Outstanding Squad Award and the Left Boot Award were given to two very deserving squads. At the Marching Festival in St. Joe, the hand received a second- division rating. The band ended the season marching in the Blos- somtime Parade. 1974-1975 Majorettes: L to R—Sandy Hora. Vicky Kemp.
