The 1972-73 Lancer Basketball team achieved the success that has eluded many fine, Varsity squads in the past—THE DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP!! The graduating seniors; Rick Farrow, Bruce Arter, Jerry Kuhn, and Terry Lauver, dedicate their achieve- ment to those Varsity members who have preceeded them and challenge the returning lettermen to repeat their accomplishments. Although the conference title slipped through our fingers, this year the team is proud of their season which included many honors.—Our first appearance in a Holiday Tourna- ment, in Niles, was rewarded with the runner-up trophy. The Lancers finished the season with the area’s most potent offense, averaging 91 points per game. —Rick Farrow and Charlie Shafer were elected to the All-Conference Team. —Lancers Beat Chiefs-Lancers Beat Chiefs!! For the First District Championship!! These achievements were possible through the dedication to hard work, self sacrifice, and enthusiasm for the sport. The student body experienced that enthusiasm and tournament fever which the Lancers generated through our success. We hope this enthusiasm carries over for our 73- 74 season. 28
