The varsity basketball team compiled a 7-7 conference record and an overall record of 7-9 in the ’61-’62 basketball campaign. Although there were high hopes for a con- ference championship early in the season, the team gave its all throughout each and every game and was backed solidly by the student body and adult fans, but had to settle for 4th place in the conference. Much was gained during the course of every game and everyone was proud of the Lancer Spirit displayed at each game.
