Lancers Sprint to V1ctory Again E ed by senior, Curt Corvin, the Lakes men 's cross country team sprinted to another great season. Although the team did not equal last year's 9-0 record, they came as close as possible, losing only one meet to a tough Puyallup team. The Lancers placed third in the district meet, earn- ing them a place in the state competi- tion. The team as a whole placed eighth and Curt Corvin took the blue ribbon as a single runner. The cross country team had only one major difficulty this year according to coach Warren Logan. The team was plagued by a lack of bodies, having on- ly 11 members compared to last year's 16.

From there on, however, it was all downhill. The ladies ran and practiced hard, but to no avail. Many meets had to be forfeited because the team could not raise the required number of runners.
