The Changing Legend he Lakes Legend underwent I Uman y changes this year. Rising costs and a depleted student body resulted in the loss of sixteen pages and the tightening of spending. Even so, a new advisor, editor and staff blossomed producing an original book. Theme and style were the most noticeable changes made in the yearbook. Early on the staff set a challenge for itself to carry the theme through the entire book from the photo-essay to the last page. The theme had many levels. The medieval characters were only the motif At a deeper level the theme was one of evaluation, who we are now reflecting from where we have been. This idea lent itself to many interpretations, because of our varied backgrounds. The layout style was also changed. Each section was given a special style. This added continuity and an aesthetic quality to the book. Despite the newness of the staff and the initial confusion therein, the staff created a fine work. Thanks for all your effort. - Editor 60 ,
