L.H. S. Performs Longest Running Play .91 November 25, 1982 marked the thirtieth anniversary of the longest continuously running play in the history of the English language, The Mouse Trap by Agatha Christie. To celebrate this event and to provide the audience with an evening of good entertainment, Lakes presented the Agatha Christie thriller on November 18, 19, and 20. In- cluded in the cast were: Giles Ralston IKevin Sleasej, Mollie Ralston IDoroth y Stahlmanl, Mrs. Boyle Uohanna Walbridge, Suzanne Dumkal, Christopher Wren tRichard Whiteselll, Major Metcalf Uim jackl, Miss Casewell ILaura Wellingtonl, Mr. Paravinci IMike Rossi, Sergeant Trotter IPe ter Arms trongl. The play was directed by Mrs. MaryKa y Flint. Assistant to the director was Steve Gallion. The play took place at Monkswell Manor, a guest house operated by the Ralstons. Several guests were snowed in, and a policeman arrives to question them about a murder in London. A guest was found strangled, and all were suspects in the crime. In true Agatha Christie style, the end of the play had a surprising twist as the real murderer was exposed. -if A or A rrr..,. an-wo. ,M

pproximately thirty Lakes students participated in the play written by jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee called 'jabberwockf' '1abberwock is a play that was based on james Th urber's book, Im- probabilities Lived and Imagined, which was about Uris high school and college years. An excellent American humorist who wrote numerous books, james Thurber satirized people conforming to socie- ity. '7abberwock took place in the fictional city of Columbus, Ohio, around 1915. The large cast, with the encouragement of Mrs. Mary Kay Flint, the director, presented its intepretation of the play on March 17, 18, and 19, 1983. The leading actors were: james Thurber, john Ludeman,' Herman Thurber, john Lade,' Charlie Thurber, jeff Montgomerieg Mary Agnes Thurber, Chris Cloud,' Roy Thurber, Gary Hollenbaugh,' Grandpa Fisher, Kevin Slease,' Doc Marlowe, Steve Gallion,' Georgiana Littlefield, Debbie Dvorak. 1. THE CAST: LEFT TO RIGHT: ROW 1: Heather Peterson, Suzanna Dumka, Sonya Cooks, Alisa Dooley, and Mike Ross. ROW 2: Steve Gallion, Debbie Dvorak, Peter Armstrong, john Lade, Gary Hollenbau h, john Ludeman, Chris Cloud, Kevin Slease, jeg Montgomerie, Mike Kingsley, john Rye, and jim jack.
