Razzma tazz En ergizes in a dreamland gaze, Lancer ladies anxiously awaited Saturday, October 30, 1982. For this date they had chosen a special guy to escort them into a memorable evening of the roaring 20's. Under the theme of Flappers and Razzmatazz, 102 couples gathered together in the Lakes classatorium to enjoy a fun-filled evening at the 1982 Tolo. Commemorative pictures were made available to couples attending this spectacular, once-a-year, even t. Careful preparation for this exciting evening began during the summer under the direction of chairpersons, Karen Miller and Tracy Watson. This year the Drill Team again created a special occasion. Revealing the Tolo court highlighted the evening. With the coronation of King, Doug Wilson,- Queen, Bev Mc- Clure,' Prince, Bret Fritzy Princess, Kellie Kieffery Duke, Chris Asbill,' and Dutchess, Shawn Dye, the evening was complete. 'Sf Tolo '82

Ac- tivities included Spirit Week, a pep assembly, a basketball game, and a dance. To arouse school spirit, the cheerstaff invented dress-up themes of little boy and girl, tacky tourist, western or cowboy, blue and orange, and 60's or hippie day for each day of the week. A cheerstaff routine set to 60's music, hippie drill team outfits, and a student created skit, highlighted the theme at the pep assembly. Mike Garrett, 1982's senior class vice-president, returned with a welcome presentation of money to all three classes. Former ASB president,Cliff Wade, introduced the 1983 Homecoming court. A fantastic drill team half-time show highlighted an exciting game which had only one disappointment, a marginal defeat by Cur- tis. However, the enthusiastic spirit of the Lancers overshadowed the setback making Homecoming 1983 a success.
