Lakes Acquires New Choir Director his year, Lakes choir received a new director, Mrs. johnson. Mrs. johnson said, Lakes choir was very strong with many top-quality students. The students ap- plied their musical education and therefore, this year's pro- gram was outstanding. ' The Band, director by Mr. Gregg Goss, continued the tradition of being a spirited band. Mr. Goss and the drum majors, Mike Blaufuss and Martha Hellyer, strove for perfection. The results were well worth the extra time spent practicing. Mr. Alan Wilkie, the or- chestra director, was at Lakes when it opened in 1963. He has seen Lakes' music depart- ment develop into a strong program. The music depart ment chairman commentet that the interest of the com munity, students, and the sup port of the district and the a ministration of Lakes ha contributed to its success. Thi year's group of musician again showed great promise The performances of the or chestra proved its excellence. .1 .wi X 1 QM, S s Trl +2 . . i l
